We had a wonderful time working with children from Johanna Primary Oasis Academy to promote Waterloo Carnival and its superhero theme this week.
Six enthusiastic members of the school’s year 6 class worked with us (Richard and Liz) to create a fantastic presentation for Peabody. The children have been involved in the Carnival since it began nine years ago, with every class getting dressed up and dancing in the procession. As a result, they were more than happy to be given the opportunity to help promote the carnival to a large, local organisation.
After their presentation went off without a hitch, our ambassadors were fascinated by a presentation from Peabody on their superhero: George Peabody. Many questions were asked and then lots of cake was eaten – we all left Peabody feeling informed, happy and full!
We had a great time, and can’t wait for the Carnival next Friday. Don’t forget your superhero costume!
